Layers of Existence
An 8-day training course
for 24 youth workers from 7 countries
(Latvia, Poland, Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain, Greece)
It will take place in the Latvian countryside
from the 14th to the 21st of August 2025.
This training is an immersive exploration of the many layers of existence—body, breath, mind, emotions, and beyond—using a diverse range of practices that foster well-being and professional growth. Through movement, embodiment techniques, and involving theatrical self-expression tools, participants will strengthen their emotional resilience, creativity, and ability to navigate challenges.
About the project
We will draw from somatic practices, theater, dance, mindfulness, and Vedic knowledge, integrating wholesome approach of Sri Sri Yoga as one of the key tools to enhance balance and self-awareness. The program offers a dynamic mix of reflection and experience, equipping youth workers with practical methods to support themselves and the young people they work with.By combining theoretical insights with hands-on learning, we will cultivate empathy, active listening, and cultural sensitivity—essential skills for connecting with diverse communities. In the frame of this project yoga refers not so much on practice of asanas as holistic well-being, adaptability, and empowerment through multiple modalities. We will attend to all 7 layers of our existence—engaging the body, intellect, and emotions in an integrated approach to growth.
The WHY of the project
Youth workers often face high stress, emotional strain, and burnout, which can diminish their effectiveness and motivation. Traditional programs frequently overlook the importance of self-care and embodied well-being, leaving professionals without the tools to manage these challenges.Layers of Existence was designed to fill this gap by integrating yogic practices, somatic techniques, creative expression, and mental health education into a structured and engaging experience. This approach empowers youth workers to cultivate resilience, emotional regulation, and self-awareness—so they can sustain their well-being while continuing to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
